Can we talk about the warmer weather!! The colors of Spring!! And the Extended daylight!
With so much coming at us these days and too much technology overstimulating us, we need to retreat and go within ourselves. We call this Pratyahara in yoga, a mental practice of disengaging from external stimuli. Observe sensory input without reacting.
Enjoy the sound of your breath. Gain a relationship with our breath so we can bring ourselves out of those challenging moments. You all heard about the benefits of a consistent yoga asana practice. Are you practicing? Yoga gives us the magic of “the pause”, a human superpower. Allowing us to be less reactive; a tool to come out of “fight or flight mode”.
And then there are the other possible benefits: coordination, improved posture, improved concentration, improved circulation, balance & strength, feeling better in your body all while building community!
Once you learn yoga posture, you bring it into any other activity you do. From walking to sitting behind a desk, riding a bike, skating, weightlifting, etc.
